Journalist accused of killing wife narrates pain of losing her, says still in love
Former NTV journalist Wambui
Kabiru's widower has written her a moving tribute in which he says he
misses and will forever love her.
Moses Dola, who was accused of committing the crime, wrote on Facebook on Thursday of the pain that is still his following Kabiru's death.
"Tears have never stopped rolling down my cheeks and only God knows why. I feel like it would have been better if had been the one to go and be with the Lord," he wrote.
Dola shared a photo of the two of them, which he described as "the most memorable they ever had".
"We were going to visit aunt Jemima Nindo and while passing by the office (NMG), my friend Dennis Okeyo took the photo," he said.
"Our good friend Tom Otieno made sure the picture was framed and it so graced our living room."
Dola said their son has grown into a fine young man who is a constant reminder of Kabiru.
"Far away you are, watching over us with the angels of heaven. Nate, our son , is now all grown. To cucu (grandmother) and guka (grandfather), he is and always will be a blessing," he said.
"He is the reason the Lord has given us, those you left behind, new strength to cope. But life without you shall never be the same again."
A househelp was arrested on December 2015 to shed light on Kabiru's death.
Eunice Mwangi, 52, has been missing since the murder trial of Kabiru’s husband Moses Dola began in 2011.
Kabiru was found dead on May 1, 2011, in their house in Umoja estate. Dola went into hiding but he turned himself in at Naivasha police station three days later.
